Will my aloe vera survive ?

Ok so its my first time ever planting aloe vera offsets I had some trouble getting the offset off of the mother plant but when I did get it off it only had 2 white roots and I put it in some soil and watered it and put it in the shade on my deck will it live with 2 roots until it grows more
