My 5 yr old won't sleep at night?

My 5 yr old daughter won't stay in bed at night and I'm at my wits end. She shares a room with her 3 yr old sister but says she doesn't want to be alone. She either gets up and wakes me up, or cries from her bed until I go into her (I can't ignore it or she'll wake her sister up). I'm 8 mnths pregnant, my husband works nights, so i'm on my own with this problem. I'm surviving on 2-3 hrs sleep a night and i just feel like i can't take it anymore. Until recently I would just let her sneak into bed with me but with the baby coming soon have put a stop to that. Now when she gets up I put her back to bed, or send her back on her own, but she just keeps getting up again, or else she'll be as loud as possible. This has been going on for 2 wks now and i need help. I have rewards to give her in the morning if she stays in bad all night, she has managed it a couple of times, only waking once or twice but not being too disruptive so have given her the treat, but the last week she's been getting worse every night. We put them to bed at 7.30, put their bedtime music on and cuddle them to sleep, cuddle the 3 yr old and she ussually nods off within a couple of minutes. My husband cuddled the 5yr old and it ussually takes a good 15 mins to get her to sleep, she keeps talking and refusing to close her eyes. I'm not wondering if there is a child sedative my doctor could prescribe?

Fouling Fish tank Problems?

so I'm getting a 37 gallon + fish tank tommorow because my fish tank is becoming poluted, and slowly poisoning my fish.(i had to put them in a 10 gallon cuz my other fish tank cracked...i have 1 angel, 1 bolivian ram, 1 african featherfin catfish, african brown knife fish and a bristle nose pleco) i need to put them in the tank quickly cuz idk how much longer they can survive in there. so is there anyway for me to put the fish in the newly bought fish tank right away? the old tank is a 10 gallon fish tank with 2 filters a 10 gallon filter and a 25 gallon filter. can i thuroughly clean out the filter and use that in the new fish tank along with the new filter? because lately the fish tank is fouling up even with water changes, and with all those filters and causing alot of funky smells to come up. can i just use the 25 gallon filter on the 37 gallon tank with the new filter to get the cycle going and the fish established?

I started growing sage from seed a few weeks ago. It's common sage (salvia officinalis), grew it in a 7 1/2 inch deep pot with that MiracleGro soil stuff. I know sage doesn't need to be watered very often (I've heard it can survive drought conditions, even?) so I haven't overwatered, or at least I don't think so. I water whenever the soil is dry. Right now the soil is damp but the sage plants keep slumping over and leaves are falling off. Am I overwatering or is something else going on? Thank you!

I need some insight on my symptoms?

I will start off by saying I have a doctor appointment booked, it's just not for a few weeks so I thought I would come on here to get any info I could while I wait to see the doctor. First thing I am concerned about is every so often, maybe 1-2 times a month my left arm will randomly feel immense pressure inside as if someone were taking my blood pressure, the veins pop out and it goes a little red. This usually only lasts around 30 seconds and then goes away, it is completely random, sometimes it happens when I am fully exerting myself, other times I am completely relaxed. I have also been experiencing frequent fevers lately, no other symptoms other than a fever, usually around 101-102 F, accompanied by body aches the entire duration of the fever. I have had 3 in the lAst month and a half, usually last anywhere from 1-3 days. This has me concerned that there may be something wrong. I am 21 in good general condition, mother of a 3 year old, and unfortunately I do smoke (trying my hardest to quit that nasty habit) if that will help. Again I am just looking for some insight while I wait to see my doctor, anything is helpful! Thanks!

I have a 40 gal community tank with real plants and a piece of drift wood. And other decorations. I got 2 albino bristlenose plecos about 30 days ago. None of them have whiskers so does that mean there all female? And one in my 40 gal is huge! Like 3 times the size when I first bought it. But my other one has barely grew a few millimeters! I'm very worried that she isn't getting enough food! Every night I split a algea wafer in half and just drop both halves in the tank after the lights are of and all the fish are fed! It isn't where I put in when I wake up but I've seen my other fish eat them and my juli cories also! How can I make sure that the 2 especially the smaller on eat every day!??!?!?! I no they are nocturnal or watever but I guarentee they eat in the day cuz I always see them attached to the side of the tank going up and down eating. I just separated the smaller one just now and put a algea wafer in with it but idk if it's gunna eat it. Why is one so big and the other so little! The grammer needs to be improved. EX: (at the bottom) "This time a man's voice but this did not make her relax, she knew that voice." If you look at the sentence, it is not a proper sentence at all. I realize writers can put in improper sentences, but this is not an example of that. Your style has gone from personal to romantic to objective story. Pick one and stick with it. Read it aloud and record it, or have someone else read it aloud. You will hear where you need to rewrite. Many new writers have a few voices in their work, just as learning to sing, you will have a few voices come out, all weaved together, just as each part of your personality does a version. That is normal, until you pick one. Write the story from each style and voice, and you may be surprised that the talented "voice/style" in your may not be your favorite. Horse won't go forward?

hey, ok,so I'm exercising a 14.2 highland cross pony around 13yrs old. I went out on her without any other horses and the owner walked beside me,but whenever the owner stopped, the horse(sugar) wouldn't walk any further. I'd talk to her nicely or use my legs firmly,nothing worked she wouldn't go forward at all, in any direction. then the owner would walk forward again and Sugar would go forward. the week before, they brought another pony out to go infront and Sugar was great. Do you have any advice? why is she doing this? how can i solve the problem? thank you in advance.

I don't want to do the surgery? probably for all the wrong reasons..?

At first, my dad was having monetary problems but then he was able to gather enough to pay for my surgery, he said if I want to do it, I can go ahead, but for some reason, he questions if I still want to do it or not and I definitely do not want to be a burden on my dad, my reasons for not doing it would probably be cause I hate myself so much that I don't care what happens to me and I don't care about what people will think around me, I had a brain aneurysm rupture before but they found more and there is a minimal risk of rupturing atm but nonetheless the docs have to perform surgery to clear the mess up before It ruptures again and puts x2 impact on myself, flaws or perhaps death? I don't know, I've heard people surviving the second time of the rupture, perhaps it depends on the age and I would probably be considered as young.. and I don't want that to happen, surviving - instead I want it to rupture and take me with it, religion-wise is it considered as suicide? in Islam, would it be wrong to just not do the surgery for all the wrong reasons?

Weird symptoms with breathing, not asthma?

For some reason, at random times, my throat feels like it's closing, and I can't breathe. It doesn't happen too often, but it's never when i'm exerting myself. And I can see my heart beat, and at these times it beats almost continually, like a dog panting. I don't breathe faster, I just can't breathe. I don't think it's a panic attack, because nothing special was really happening then, but something is always happening, so I'm not ruling it out. And I'm 16, if that means anything.

Recently in the summer months every year, we are constantly seeing large garter snakes (I was lucky enough to see a baby one some time earlier this year or maybe last) in are apartment and what i'm trying to figure out is, is why are there many garter snakes living around in civilization, we'll see birds, raccoons, feral cats, and squirrels including some insects and the garter snakes here in the apartment but why are they living so closely here around humans? yesterday me and my (girl) friend were going to go outside to try and catch one or some but then at first no luck and then our friend had came because his metro phone got locked and he wanted us to go to the metro store so he can see what's wrong with it and so I put the container I had that I was going to put the snake in back in the house and as soon as we were leaving guess what? yup it was a large garter snake probably female? but the thing is it was me, my two friends, my little sister, and my (girl) friends daughter and we all saw it but why didn't the snake slither away, we were all very close to it especially me trying to get a look at it and it didn't even try to get away it just kept on moving like we weren't even there but why? and by the way I didn't catch the snake because I didn't have the container and plus we were inna rush anyway but I was glad I got to see a "wild" garter snake up close but why are these snakes living in human habitation especially in apartments because there are no rats, mice, fish, especially water unless it's raining or the sprinklers are on but there are some small species of birds and squirrels and a lot of species of insects so do you think that the snakes maybe eating those but what about water? there's not a single pond in my apartment? but how and why are these snakes surviving and what might they be eating and why are they living approximately so close to us humans?

Can my boss fire me for not wanting to work? Should I call back?

It's my day off from work. I work in the deli department of Highland Park Market. I am a very hard worker, and I go out of my way to please my manager. Whenever anyone needs me to cover their shift for them I always say yes; and when she asks me to change my hours from working until 2:00pm to working until 9:00pm I always say yes, even if it is an inconvenience to myself. However, today is my day off. And sure, I COULD probably go in to work today but I have other things I would LIKE to get done today. I need to go buy my father a present, cash my paycheck, pick up a prescription and do alot of chores today. All of this needs to be done early; and if I had to work I would probably get stuck having to wait until my next random day off to do these. (As the store I need to buy my father a present from is only open noon-five.) And to be honest; to go along with everything that needs to get done, I honestly just don't WANT to. Anyway, my question is, if I ignore my bosses calls can she fire me for not coming in? She said in the voice mail that they really need me. But I ALWAYS inconvenience myself for them. I have big probs with two of my dogs, fighting, great dogs apart but together is just not happening.?

dog 1 is 8yrs jack russell /springer cross. dog 2 a West Highland terrier 8yrs. They have been together for 4yrs with no issues. I recently took a re-home 6month puppy a jack russell. I was going well and then all hell broke loose. The two jack russell have begun fighting. The older dog is not castrated and I have recently had the 11month pup castrated. I cannot allow these two dog together as they fight. So far no bad bites but I want to avoid this. Presently trying slow introduction but no progress......Any ideas?

Bokken swords: cold steel vs. wooden?

Me and my friend are having this Zombie-apocalypse survival kit making contest, so by the end of it we can have people vote on who they think would survive longest. I've chosen a wooden sword/bokken as my main weapon, because one: I am a HUGE anime fan and thus like Japanese swords a lot, two it seems light to hold and to be low maintenance, and three it seems like it would be a decent weapon. What breed dog should I get?

I recommend adopting from a shelter. There are sooo many to chose from and rescue dogs are very appreciative. I've had several in my lifetime and every one was awesome. The one I have now has "issues" but I was well aware of them and wanted to help her . She is coming along pretty good and is so sweet. Rescue dogs come in all sizes, breeds,ages,and temperments. And there are millions (literally) that are dying to be adopted. Good luck with your new dog and please consider adopting a rescue.

I think that if there isn't any actual problems between the two of you getting back together, then it should be fine. He went out with you once before, and if he truly likes you, you'll never ''ruin'' his self image, because it won't matter to him what his friends may or may not think of you, only what you think of each other. I wouldn't worry too much about embaressing him or whatever, it's only natural for the girls to be shy ( as I am :P) but if you get any grief from people making fun of the two of you, just put a smile on your face and ignore it, because they don't know anything about what's going on

So from your calculation you are saying that the acceleration is 0? because that is the only way that the Fg=ma. That doesn't make sense though unless the plane is already moving and you are saying that this is at takeoff. At takeoff, a plane accelerates. You need the acceleration of the plane to solve this problem...

Diarrhoea in 11 year old West Highland White Terrier (Westie)?

One of my Oranda Goldfish died and I dont want the other one to be lonely?

I've had the two orandas for about 5 months. The one that dies was about 5/6 inches long and the one that survived is about 4/5 inches long. They didn't die from bad keeping but builders were working on our street and they were VERY noisy. There going to come back and i don't know what i should do, i don't want my other fish to become ill as well. There is a pet store nearby but I cant give it to them while the builders are here because I know they suck from experience. my question would be why do so many young people need to use drugs, you will never end the drugs war because of one thing MONEY, people get rich on the suffering of others, seeing someone hopelessly addicted to drugs is horrible,you Will never make drugs totally legal it will just cause a price war between dealers and government, the thing with cigarettes is yes they cause long term illnesses but you cant overdose on them and kill yourself in one go, i think more attention should be paid to why people need or want to use drugs in the first place.

I've been to Scotland several times already but would like to go back. This is a touchy subject for my husband and I. Dr.s aren't giving us all the answers we feel we need. About 2 months ago my husband became deathly ill, he contracted a horrible MRSA infection which led to sepsis and pneumonia. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks and had to have surgery and chest tubes to drain 4 liters of fluid from his chest. He just ended 6 weeks of IV antibiotics for this particular illness. Every Dr. he sees says it's a miracle he survived. It's all thanks to the good Lord's love and grace. However...he has gone back to work (too early) and works very long shifts. He now has pain and swelling on the opposite side underneath his rib cage. He has had no fever, no other symptoms other than this pain. The ER said he was fine...blood work great and did xrays. They stated that all the muscles, nerves and bones are connected and the pain and swelling from the surgery (opposite side however) may travel and cause discomfort. His own primary Dr. says she doesn't know what it is either...she sent him for shingles testing! Which it's obviously not. I'm afraid for him...he is a strong man but something isn't right here. I don't have big faith in these Dr.s due to it was the ER that sent him home saying he had a viral infection that would pass in a week...had I listed to them, he would died in my bed! I took him into a different ER 2 days later and by that time his liver was basically failing and he was in fact dying. He has come such a long way through his healing...don't want to just let this go. Has anyone ever heard of this? It may or may not be connected to his previous issue. Would appreciate any insight as we look further for answers in a 3rd, or possible 4th opinion!

Me and my friend are having this Zombie-apocalypse survival kit making contest, so by the end of it we can have people vote on who they think would survive longest. I've chosen a wooden sword/bokken as my main weapon, because one: I am a HUGE anime fan and thus like Japanese swords a lot, two it seems light to hold and to be low maintenance, and three it seems like it would be a decent weapon. But reading the reviews on these swords on Amazon, it seems that these things are not unbreakable. I have around 20$ left in my budget.
